Memphis Outdoors Inc Canoe & Kayak Race

Calling all paddlers! Saturday June 16th is the Memphis Outdoors Inc Canoe & Kayak Race. Hey, want to paddle but don’t have a vessel? We have room in the big canoes for extra paddlers who want to join in the fun as a voyageur in a hand-crafted voyageur style cypress-strip canoe. Write me john@island63.com if you have any interest! Meet time: 8am top end of Mud Island Memphis. Race start: 10:15am. End: 11ish Jeff Davis Park. Stay for the party on the bluff. We’ll be done early afternoon.

Old Man River Project -- Chapter 10: To The Gulf

Rain, cold and heavy fog makes navigation incredibly dangerous as Annie weaves through the endless barrage of ships and barges. With only 50 miles to go before reaching the Gulf of Mexico, will they complete the mission? Go to http://www.brettonthewater.com/blog/?p=1630 and enjoy the conclusion of the 110 day expedition in the 32 foot long York Boat Annie.
