Dear Friends of the Sunflower River:

What a great day tomorrow will be for a daytrip (or overnight) on the Sunflower River! Sunny with a high of 70 and the river has come up slightly from last night’s rain.

This weekend we are hosting Keith Plunkett who is raising funds for Mississippi Alzhiemer’s by paddling different rivers all over the state of Mississippi. See below for more info about his fundraiser LUCY'S REVENGE!

Eagle’s Nest to Clarksdale, a beautiful run full of woods, birds, beavers & deer!

See below for details. Bring your own canoe or kayak, or Quapaw will provide. Make it a daytrip Saturday, or join Keith & Company for a campout Saturday night on the banks of the Sunflower River behind Quapaw Canoe Company. Join the daytrip Sunday to Hopson Bridge.

I'm trying to locate a downtown restaurant to donate supper to help support Keith’s cause. Any river rats looking for music will find it around the corner at Ground Zero or Red's.
